BLOG: MY DAILY BEAUTY PRODUCT/TOOLS MUST HAVES

Ever look at someone and want the insight of there routine? I look at a lot of beauty posts on instagram or facebook, and take note of there things to make mine. I tend to ask around to my friends or classmates different products they use. Wanting a insight is being curious, not copying. I want to show my daily products and tools I use as a cosmetology student by prepping, styling and finishing to make my self feel beautiful and ready for my day!

(All products used in this blog post are linked down below!)

First I start in the shower, which everyone should! Showering is my daily cleanse, my restart to get my self ready! Personally I take my showers in the evening or mid-day. I’ve always been like this and it’s just one of my likes in life!

  • I start first with that hot water, I’ve taken a notice like hot water opens my pores and makes or breaks my shower. With my pores and face being open I start with Clinique, I am no expert in cleansing of the face or body but Clinique has seriously helped my skin! If I use the normal store brand cleanse my face breaks out too much and is an ick for me. This foaming facial soap as really enhanced my skin and without it I can see a significant change.
  • Face to Hair. I might be a bit of basis since I attend an Aveda school but I love Aveda hair care. Right now in my routine I am using Botanical repair. This is for repairing damage and to hydrate my dry hair. Great for my blonde hair I enjoy so much. With the blonde I have in my hair I use a different brand though! Kristin Ess The One Purple Shampoo, it really gives me the ash I love in my hair come back when I need it! A tip for blondes and enlighten treated hair is, Don’t use purple shampoo every single shower, and don’t wash your hair everyday. The reasoning is your hair needs natural oils, and your purple shampoo is for when you need it. Using it everyday could make your hair purple. And if that’s not your look I suggest not taking that risk. Another great product I recommend for hair care is a masque! A good one I have found for a lower price is from Target called Raw sugar healing power. This is a affordable masque that will give you stronger, healthier hair. Applying this right to mids to  ends after conditioner once a week is a great effective way to you healthy hair
  • Straying away from hair, I go onto body. Now my body routine can change but here are some of my main product recommendations that I have made to others. I like to exfoliate first, this has always made me feel better and has gotten me compliments about smooth skin. The  exfoliants I recommend are Tree hut and every scent are just the best honestly. This brand does a AWESOME job at making their formula get into the skin and smoothen it. After that I would shave and using any mens razor, yes I said mens , I would use mens shampoo or conditioner, yes I said mens again! To shave my legs and arm pits. The reason I said mens is because shaving cream is great and all but I feel like a conditioner is a old hack from beauty you tubers when I was younger and I’ve like it. Mens shaving cream would be a go to and I would use my brothers ( sorry Parker and Jackson). Shaving is always my refresh and I feel like smooth and great in my skin, next though is the best. Actually cleansing all that dirt off. I use my favorite scent Raw Beauty or Olay. Both are amazing and affordable!

Now after I shower it’s time for styling which is always my favorite. I’m going to tell you all my favorite products and tools to get ready.

  • Let’s start with products, I have a few different products for different styles that I use and I’ve got a few tips for them too. My everyday use would me Aveda nutriplenish leave in. Applying this to my ends to give me hydration, heat protection and damage repair straight to my hair. If i’m going for a volume look, I use Aveda products all the way. The best products I could recommend pure abundance style prep or volumizing tonic. Both are blow dried in and are heat activated and applying to my roots. If i’m straightening I use Aveda smooth infusion glossing straightener which I think leaves it so beautifully straight and shining.
  • I have some products that I can’t really put them in category but I would love to recommend. A number one product I believe everybody should have in their collection is DRY SHAMPOO! Its the best, honestly. Two brands I love our Not your mothers and Batiste . These are applied at the roots and the best for those non-wash days. A new tip I’ve learned is using dry shampoo before you need it and honestly thinking about this tip, it’s right! The oils are going to be in your hair but tamed before you live in your hair for too long. I tryed it last time I washed my hair and my hair lasted a week without being too noticeable of grease. Along with this I use a heat protection, I use a lot of heat, and I know it’s bad but heat protection will help. My favorite is Waterless Heat Shield Protect it’s a cheap and amazing product. If you haven’t noticed I love target brands
  • Now tools, once my hair is 80% dry I use this very magic tool. I honestly think this tool is the double shot hair brush dryer from Dry Bar. I love this, I could use it for just my styling or before anything. Making sure your hair isn’t dripping wet is the most important part though.  Styling I have many I love for everyday. For straight I use Original 1'' Ceramic Hairstyling Iron by Chi. It has the heat setting so I don’t fry off my hair every time I use. For curling lately I’ve been using an 1” Con air iron and it’s so nice. I think that these cheaper irons and tools are good and only certain things in your routine you should splurge on.

My routine ends here for hair. My face is nothing I take a lot of time on but I do have random things I use to give a recommendation too.

  • So being honest Makeup isn’t my biggest concern, I could just use mascara but sometimes I feel pale and dry. I use my favorite brand for most of face and eye makeup actually. Like I mentioned before Clinique is my favorite for my skin. Using their moisturizer,Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion, is my must! I always feel very pale so I use a bronzer, mascara ( sometimes switching to my Clinique mascara) and concealer so I don’t look like a ghost. All made by Elf makeup. Which is another one of my favorite brands.
  • To give my face glow I use Clinique Cream Sticks. I love cream makeup to give a glow! Using blush and highlight I feel most glowy and not so matte but not greasy. It’s a hard feeling to describe but I love it when achieve this look. But to also achieve a glossy tanned look I recommend a self tanner in the winter or even summer if you need it. B.tan is my favorite brand and great for starters who don’t know how to tan or don’t have any experience! Making sure it’s not too dark or streaky is something I struggled with I think I’m not expert, but can make it look natural.

Now listen, I am no expert in any beauty brand or anything but I do have my favorite brands and products and I can share them. I have listened the prices and products I use down below. Looking at my list, I am shocked by the prices of my whole routine put together. I am lucky and fortunate to have these things in my life to make me feel beautiful and ready for my day. I recommend any of the products if you are interested to listen to my suggestions. My routine has never been a set thing, and I am glad to see new things coming out every single day so I can try them and maybe add them to my future daily routine
